Hanna Rochlitz

About me

I studied English and American Literature and Musicology (Music History and Ethnomusicology) at Göttingen University, where I obtained my M.A. degree in 2004. In 2011 I completed my Ph.D. in Literary Studies at Kassel University. In 2013 I started working for a Göttingen-based adult education institute specialising in intercultural communication.

I have also worked at various times as a secretary, translator, composer of incidental music, and lighting technician for various local amateur theatre productions. Other activities have included acting in local amateur drama productions and performing in musical cabaret acts.

I have been practising Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) and other Internal Chinese Martial Arts since 2002.

What's in the name?

The name and domain www.feuerlitz.de came into being as the representative platform of a composition project which had its heyday in the early 2000s.
Somehow, the name seemed too good to give up.
